Baby, it aint over till it's over...

The thing about writing a book is that you can just keep fiddling with it and the only thing stopping you is that publisher's deadline. As an editor I have had 11th hour corrections which have actually turned out to be authors tweaking their stories. The hardest thing is knowing when to let go.
Which could be extended to other parts of life.
Knowing when to let go of a friendship you have outgrown.
Knowing when to let go of something that cannot be fixed.
Or when to let go of your anxieties and just enjoy the moment.

Meanwhile, I have one week left with my latest YA novel, Six, until I finally wave goodbye to it and hand it over to my editor.

You give birth to them, you do the best you can, then you send them out into the world...

KT, I can't wait to read Six (and to see which cover you chose). Black Dog are doing some of the best YA covers around. And yes, Cath Crowley's Graffiti Moon is wonderful. I love the opening lines: Let me make it in time. Let me meet Shadow.

Hey, Six has arrived in the building - well not my building but the publisher's building. Can't wait/can't bear to see it (you know how that is). I love the cover and I love GM.
